With more than 65 years' experience, TransCanada is a leader in the responsible development and reliable operation of North American energy infrastructure, including natural gas and oil pipelines, power generation and natural gas storage facilities. TransCanada generates clean electricity for hundreds of thousands of businesses, institutions and households throughout North America in a safe, affordable and environmentally responsible manner. TransCanada has invested more than $5 billion to date in emission-less energy sources, including nuclear, hydro, wind and solar. In Canada, our diverse portfolio of power generation includes natural gas (combined cycle and cogeneration), wind and solar. As one of Canada’s largest Independent Power Producers, TransCanada owns and operates a significant amount of renewable generation, including 365 MW of wind generation across six facilities in Quebec, and 76 MW of solar generation across eight facilities in Ontario.

On July 1, 2020, CanSIA and the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) united within the Canadian Renewable Energy Association to form one voice for wind energy, solar energy and energy storage in Canada. To explore the new multi-technology association, go to www.renewablesassociation.ca!
